Netra Sachal: Hospital on Wheels Bringing Vision Care to 50+ Remote Villages
Manoj Tripathi
Outreach Coordinator

For elderly residents in remote rural hamlets, traveling 40 kilometers to a district hospital is physically and financially impossible. Netra Sachal, our fully equipped mobile eye-care clinic, takes the hospital straight to their doorsteps.
Fitted with computerized autorefractometers, ophthalmoscopes, and diagnostic equipment, each mobile van visits 3 to 4 remote villages every week. Trained optometrists screen for cataracts, refractive errors, diabetic retinopathy, and pediatric squint.
Patients requiring surgery are safely transported in dedicated hospital buses to the Pritha Health Care Base Hospital in Moradabad, where free operations and lodging are provided.
By removing geographical and economic barriers, Netra Sachal ensures no grandparent has to live in darkness simply because of their address.
